- Cosplay is hard. And expensive. And boots are the worst. Why are the best boots upwards of $200? I WANT YOU BUT MY BANK ACCOUNT.

- MASS EFFECT. My friends and I started playing on Saturday. WE ARE ONLY ON THE FIRST ONE, sob. So far behind. But I love it so far; all of the people! ALL OF MY FEELS.

- Picked up RE5: Gold Edition on Saturday. FDSHFIJ; I AM EXCITE, never mind that it's my second copy of RE5. WANTED THE DLC, HAVE THE DLC. :D

- Writing: it is a thing I should really be doing but I haven't for the past few days. Oh well. I'll be doing a lot of it starting next week. (oh god)

- My dog got her teeth cleaned on Friday. She's in good shape, considering (she's 15 and a half), and I actually think the cleaning makes her feel tons better, as she's been bouncing around like a puppy again. She also had several warts removed (she likes to roll around on the carpet which tears them open, which isn't good) and I nearly got sick because of that. D: Apparently real gore is beyond what I can handle. Good thing I decided against anything like med school years ago!

- I may be taking a few sporadic hiatuses over the course of the next few months. I've got a friend coming in from Germany on Thursday and she'll be here for the next two weeks. After that, another friend is going to be in for a month before he ships out to CA, and then there's a chance another friend is going to come out for the Avengers premiere here, and then I'll be heading to AZ for Phoenix Comic Con over Memorial Day Weekend! MY SOCIAL LIFE, WHERE DID YOU COME FROM.

Oh cosplay, why do you hurt the wallet so. Depending on what kind of clothes you're looking for, I'd suggest ebay and amazon before trying places like Military surplus stores. And if you need holsters and stuff of that ilk, try airsoft stores. They'll usually have stuff that's comparable in look for much less.

And woooo DLC! (You're on the ps3, yes?) If you want to do online co-op for RE5 sometime, let me know.

Yeah, I've found decent shirts and some good gloves on Amazon already, for nice prices too. (I also find it pretty hilarious that if I look at the STARS patches they have, the "other people who looked at this product also looked at" section is ALL combat gear. Lol cosplayers.

The really hard part will be the pants - I'm looking at EMS pants for that - and idek what I'm going to do for the navy beret/shoulder pads. Those stupid, stupid shoulder pads. They anger me.

I AM NOT ON THE PS3 FOR RE. This pains me. BUT I can still snag it on the PS3, I'm sure, and clearly I am not opposed to spending money on this series. I would LOVE to co-op, so I will do everything in my power to make this happen (and I have just remembered I have yet to give you my friend code on my DS. THIS ALSO NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED.)

AHAHA, oh Amazon search algorithms, don't ever change. Cosplayers, don't ever change either.

A friend of mine (the Renji from my con pics) had luck altering a scrubs pants pattern to get Jill's tac pants, but then, she is also a dedicated seamstress. I'm not sure if that's a viable option for you. I forget what she was doing for the shoulder pads, I think she was just going to carve them out of upholstery foam and cover them with canvas or some other fabric. The beret she got off of ebay, it even came with a patch on it already. She and I are aiming for this summer to do Resident Evil cosplay shenanigans, if all works out.

Ah, sadness. That's okay though! there's still 3DS Mercs and Revelations' Raid mode to be had! And possibly Uncharted, but I really only want co-op on that for the trophies. Shameless shameless trophy hunter am I.

It's the best. I noticed it a while back when I went poking around for something or other - maybe to check ORC's release date or something, and then it kinda spiraled from there. I just...keep loling every time I go back. Oh cosplayers.

Yeah, I've a pair of friends I might be able to con into helping me out with that stuff, and I've done a bit of sewing myself so if nothing else I think between the three of us can figure something out. I never thought to look on ebay for a beret, though - I'm going to have to. That's awesome.

I'm doing RE3 Jill for Phoenix Comic Con I think. I just need to pull more things together. Guh. WHY SO MANY BOOTS, JILL. Seriously.

BOOTS ARE FABULOUS, and most of the ones I am finding (while not the style I need) are GORGEOUS BUT EXPENSIVE. Even the style I need is EXPENSIVE, but less pretty since they're work/hiking/combat style boots. WHY SO PRICEY, SHOES, WHY.
