But before I drag myself off to bed for the night, I wanted to post this link. It's mostly for future reference, but some of you lot are gamers and above the legal drinking age, so:

...I wonder what a Resident Evil drink would be like? (I've seen movie-based ones with a blue or green twizzler wrapped inside for the T-Virus, which is cool, but they're not game-verse drinks)

(also shush I have not routed around to that fandom yet. Not wholly. Yet. Oh god help me. I've gone back to making crack theories and I really need to just make up my mind about making a comm to hold them all [I was right the last time I made a bunch of crack theories, but no one will ever know because I never wrote them down] and fhdsifhdsfjl)

I picture RE drinks being modled after the B.O.W.s. C'mon, Crimson Head is an awesome name for a drink. Or maybe a lager. The only thing keeping me from actually trying to design these on my own is the fact that I don't like most liqueurs.

Probably something using Tomato-juice foam, a-la a bloody mary, but over what? I'd say something like chocolate liqueur, if only to make me less scared of them :S Seriously, nothing can be scary if it's also chocolatey.

Agreed. Chocolate cannot be scary. Ever. It is a crime to make people fear chocolate.

Ha, well. I suppose chocolate can be scary -- sometimes. Can't live life with any absolutes, can we?

I'm really considering it. Might start getting it set up sometime this week. I chose a terrible time to consider adding to my to-do list, and of course this'd require modding and rule development and having to put on my grown up shoes at some point. :/

I did not even think of tomato juice, as my first encounter with a Bloody Mary involved clam juice and is not something I'd like to repeat. xD;

And I must agree, chocolate is a very mellow substance, no fear there! Maybe something like that cayenne spicy chocolate in drink form for a Crimson Head? It would have to have the red foamy head on it though.

eeeee yes, that's where I remember the T-Virus drink from! I'm still meaning to do that at some point, but I'd need to find colored Twizzlers and I'm not sure where to get those right now. D:

Crimson Head would be an amazing name for a drink. If I drank, I would do something with it! Perhaps I will just be a nerd and do some kind of design for the bottles 'n such. (They have little chocolates with walnut brains now! SURELY WE CAN DO SOME CREATIVE GLASSWEAR). Uroboros would be an amazing name for a dark, chocolate liqueur, I think. Especially if you can replicate the shininess.

CRACK THEORIES FOR THE WIN. Oh -- if I do make this comm, would you be willing to help co-mod it? Mostly I just want a hand in keeping people from launching into hate-filled spats and character bashing and ship bashing, like this fandom is wont to do. :/

I dislike those colored twizzlers. XD; They had an awful texture the one time I tried them, maybe they're improved after pickling in alcohol for a bit. I've seen them fairly regularly in the local Target's candy aisle.

THOSE CHOCOLATES WITH WALNUT BRAINS WERE AWESOME. Oh, I would eat those like I was ten and a zombie. Om nom nom. And yes, the Oroboros-drink would be awesome and if the drink version of it ever exists, there needs to be one of those life sized cut-outs of RE5 Wesker with the drink pasted in a hand and a speech bubble. "I don't need beer. I have... OROBOROS!" I think I would die, everytime I saw it. (The standee could have actual glasses! that hid glowing LEDS so his eyes would actually glow periodically! There could even be speakers that played that clip from the game STOPITBRAINSTOPRIGHTNOW.)

I would! I have no prior-mod experience though, but I'm pretty sure I can figure out which end of a banhammer to use. As long as there are clear rules, I'd be happy to!

I don't think I've ever tried them, but they only look so appetizing. I like my licorice to be red. :D

YES. I also approve of this. I might just have to look into temporarily teaming with a brewing company of some kind, because the idea of being able to market RE-themed drinks to something like Think Geek is just too rich an idea to pass up. Wesker even graced us with a long line of marketing gimmicks! "YOU HAVE SEVEN MINUTES TO DRINK THIS"

Lol, I don't either. I'm *technically* the only active mod of an Ada/Wesker comm on LJ, but it's been dead silent for years. Not even the spammers bother with it right now, so I haven't had to do any significant modding.

Right now I'm thinking something simple, like, "no ship or character or theory bashing, no hate, no cruelty. You can discuss ideas, discrepancies, and holes, but don't harsh the squee in the process."

...Hopefully that'd at least keep the drama to a minimum. I'm also thinking there should be a warning/strike system, with the worst offenses getting near-insta banhammer, but I haven't come up with a way of phrasing that without coming off as a bit of a tyrant. Punny though that is.
